Freshers and undergraduate and postgraduate students of Psychology can approach:
For volunteering to get hands-on experience in practical work settings
For facilitation and mentoring to reach their professional and career goals in the field of academics in Psychology and related domains like Education, Child development, Parenting, Mental health etc
I started working with Psychologist, Ms. Uma Bapat, in my second year of undergraduate studies with a specialization in Psychology. Since then, she has been a strong guiding force in my professional and personal development. As a dedicated psychologist, her work and working style have had a profound impact on me. Uma Tai's (as I call her) ability to articulate complex and innovative ideas with clarity and precision has been instrumental in ensuring high-quality work and facilitating my learning. Whether it's a project, workshop, or session, she approaches it with a bird's eye view.
Furthermore, her ethical work approach has guided me to become an ethical psychologist myself. In addition to assigning tasks, she encourages me to brainstorm ideas and supports their execution.
I greatly admire her ownership and dedication to the subject matter. She has fully internalized a collectivistic parenting approach, which exemplifies her congruence as a dedicated psychologist. Working with her is not an easy task, as she sets high standards and demands a serious approach. However, the experience is truly rewarding. She helps us understand the practical application of what we learn in psychology textbooks across various contexts.
Overall, working with Uma Tai has been an invaluable experience that has shaped my growth as a psychologist. I am grateful for her guidance and dedication, and I highly recommend her as a mentor and professional in the field.

Children of the same age group
Children with younger/older siblings
Children with high potential/giftedness
Single parents (for various reasons; for example: when one partner is working in a different location)
