खरंतर एक पालक-मार्गदर्शक म्हणुन मी उमाताईंना भेटले 2014 साली. त्यानंतर counsellor म्हणुन आयुष्यातल्या चढ उतारांवर मी त्यांचे मार्गदर्शन वेळोवेळी घेत आले.

पण 'छबूची परडी' ( Preparation of play activity kits. It was an initiative based on the play – activity ideas designed by Umatai and executed by me with her facilitation and mentoring). हा उपक्रम करताना, (२०२३) ताईंकडून जे मार्गदर्शन मिळाले, ते एका वेगळ्या स्तराचे होते. कॉर्पोरेट मध्ये केवळ 4 वर्षे मी काम केले होते, आणि ते field पूर्ण वेगळे होते. तिथे मी java developer म्हणुन कार्यरत होते.

'छबूची परडी' हा उपक्रम असा होता की जिथे मला अथ पासून इति पर्यंत सर्व एकट्याने करायचे होते. आणि ज्यात मला काहीही अनुभव नव्हता. It was a small business model with social responsiveness.

सगळ्यात महत्वाचे मुलांसाठी खेळ-संच निर्मिती याचा काहीही अनुभव नसलेल्या व्यक्तीवर एवढा विश्वास ठेवून. स्वतःची महत्त्वाची creativity, design, intellectual property त्याच्या हातात देणे, हीच आधी खूप मोठी गोष्ट आहे. मग ते पूर्णत्वास नेण्यासाठी अगदी basics पासून आपण काय material वापरणार ते reusable पण असेल eco- friendly पण असेल. बर हे खेळ मुलांचे त्यामुळे त्यांना इजा होणार नाही आणि हे तयार करताना अजून काही गरजू लोकांना थोडाफार का होईना रोजगार मिळेल हा एवढा विचार त्यात होता. खेळ हातात आल्यापासून ते जागेवर ठेवे पर्यंत त्यातून मूल शिकेल ह्याची पूर्ण खबरदारी त्यात घेतली होती.

मी एवढ्या मोठ्या गॅप नंतर काम करणार. घर, मुलीची सुट्टी, covid नंतरचे माझ्या वैयक्तिक शारीरिक अडचणी ह्या सगळ्यात कुठेही ताण न येता; ह्या उपक्रमातून मी, माझे कुटुंब आणि उपक्रमात सहभागी होणारे ह्या सगळ्यांसाठी हा प्रवास आनंददायी असेल. एवढ्या सर्व अंगाने विचार करणारा मार्गदर्शक मला मिळाला.

माझ्यातल्या strengths आणि weaknesses ह्याचा अभ्यास करून. त्याचा ह्या उपक्रमासाठी कसा उपयोग करता येईल. माझ्या weaknesses जिथे आहेत त्याचा impact उपक्रमावर कसा होणार नाही. ह्या सर्व बाजूनी ताईंनी मला मार्गदर्शन केले.

Business skills, communication skills, product creation and quality skills, managing Financials all these factors- she literally taught me. म्हणजे आई जसं बोट धरून चालायला शिकवेल तसं त्यांनी माझ्या कडून हा उपक्रम करून घेतला.

It was really a great experience to learn from her. And which boosted my confidence to work after so much of gap.

My 6 yrs old child had always been an enthusiastic curious child, ever ready to absorb any knowledge that comes his way. As a mother, it had been challenging for me to meet his needs . Apart from the knowledge that he seeks, the peer group he has to be in has been a concern all along the way .

I am a Yoga therapist from Bangalore. I have been taking her session for counselling in online mode.

Ms Uma was the first person who understood the stress I undergo to keep up the needs of a blessed child and the challenges I face while being in a social group. Her counselling has played a huge role in helping me figure out the ways we can continue to contribute to my child's growth. She provided valuable resources that can guide me in the teaching process. It was a sigh of relief to know that there are parents in the same boat and that there are options to be a part of it.
