    This book is Being based on the article-series written by me in the well-known weekly known as Saptahik-Sakal. (This book has received an award from Marathi Manas Shastra Parishad)

    The book assures parents that the upbringing of children need not be a stressful experience. It focuses on the joyous, ongoing process of growing together. Based on the studies of Psychology, the book is a handy resource for an easy-to-apply practical approach in day-to-day life for addressing challenges in parenting, and about the development of children from 0 to 12 years. The book has three sections: Abilities and Skills; Knowledge, Inclinations, and Interests; and Attitude Formation. The book is useful for parents, teachers, daycare and activity centres, paediatricians, counsellors, and students of Psychology and Education.

    This set of two books for children aged 1.5 to 3 years and 3 to 6 years is a rare addition to scientific books about play in early childhood written in Marathi. These books are based on the experience gained from Parent-Child Play Programs designed and conducted by me in Pune. The books blend theoretical knowledge about stages of play in early childhood and easy-to-follow guidelines for adult participation with children in open and structured play enviornments. The books give ideas for how a range of materials readily available in our surroundings can be creatively adopted for a variety of play activities.

  • रुजवू पालकतत्त्व Internalizing Principles of Parenting (Rujvu Palaktattva)

    - A bilingual book with audio CD

    This is a set consisting of a bilingual book and an audio CD. The first section of the book comprises poetry in Marathi. The second section of the book is a summary of the Marathi poems given in prose form in English. The recitation of the Marathi poems is given in the audio CD. The book gives insight into core principles of parenting. The book is a companion and guide for parenting across age groups, from would-be parents to grandparents. It is a dialogue with facilitators, educators, leaders, and sensitive humans to extend to social parenting at a wider scale.

  • Writing the book हसत खेळत बुद्धिविकास (Hasat Khelat Buddhivikas):

    Based on the Comprehensive Child Development Program of Jnana Prabodhini’s Institute of Psychology, I co-authored a book with Dr. Usha Khire before completing my postgraduation. The book is a guide for trainers to understand the multifaceted nature of intelligence, and it is a handbook for teachers, trainers, and parents to conduct play activities to stimulate various dimensions of intelligence like verbal ability, numerical ability, memory, divergent thinking, convergent thinking, and problem solving. Four editions of this book have now been published, and I have contributed in upgrading the book with every new edition. The book has been extensively used as a guideline for various projects conducted by different departments and centres of Jnana Prabodhini across Maharashtra.

  • Contribution in the 2nd English edition of the book:

    I was also involved in updating the English edition of Hasat Khelat Buddhivikas, called Enhancement of Intelligence Through Play.


    I like to write poetry based on applied Psychology.

    For the last twenty years, I have been writing articles in several magazines and newspapers:
    Palakniti, Chhatra Prabodhan, Daily Prabhat, Milun Saryajani.
